We LOVE Medicine Lake and have camped there often. I have lots of pictures of that amazing area, including Glass Mountain. So Glad that you found this favorite little spot of mine!Sue Malonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00332448503740101970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5822169260430560826.post-77083390393900684462012-07-02T12:10:28.738-07:002012-07-02T12:10:28.738-07:00pita and some sort of bean/hummus dip. Fresh air at altitude improves your attitude! (if you add dude to the end of that line I think you have a country song lyric there).

As kids, we used to camp at Burney and later, Medicine Lake when our friends, with access to the PG&E family campgrounds, joined us - they had a trailer and we rented a pop-top tent trailer. Lassen was a frequent place to go when we lived up in Yreka and later in Sonoma County. I think I am overdue now - last trip was 17 years ago and the ice stopped me dead in my tracks on the trail when I couldn't figure how to descend. Sorry to have missed the top of the caldera. We did camp a night at altitude to acclimate beforehand. love the sparseness of it all.eirenehttp://eirenesisland.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5822169260430560826.post-77032314323419671612012-07-02T08:35:26.880-07:002012-07-02T08:35:26.880-07:00On day trips, I almost always pack a lunch the nig...On day trips, I almost always pack a lunch the night before. A sandwich, fruit, maybe a few chips, a nice bag of ice to keep my water cold. :)

The other day, I had cold leftover shrimp and a nice homegrown tomato.Travels with Emmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00411769980205792011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5822169260430560826.post-73437783499060802532012-07-02T08:13:29.361-07:002012-07-02T08:13:29.361-07:00Looks like a lot of fun!Looks like a lot of fun!Erik's RV Blog https://www.blogger.com/profile/17149039572885361450noreply@blogger.com
