Will we?

Evelyn's comment of: " I noticed you're 1/4 way toward your goal of 1,000 miles. Does that mean your 1/4 of the way to fulltiming and hiking in the national parks? :) "

Made me think.   How far along are we?  Will we ever get this house in shape to put it on the market?  If we do will it sell?  Will we ever be able to cull down the stuff to a reasonable amount for storage?
Will we ... Will we  ... Will we?

If I think about the whole process I feel overwhelmed and a bit depressed.  If I think about it in small pieces, like the 2 miles at a time that I am walking, I feel we can get there.  Someday.

Over the weekend Craig replaced most of the shakes on the wood house he built about 15 years ago.  It started to leak a bit last spring.  Not a big job, but one that needed to be done.

Exercise Goal:

Thinking of  Margie

Someday I will be hiking 1000 miles in National Parks!

  1. Hang in there and keep plugging. We felt the same way and now we've got the house on the market. You'll get there too.

  2. It seems like it's forever away right now, but a time will come when you realize the goal is actually in sight and your motors will rev into high gear on getting things accomplished. I know I felt like "Will I?" when I was in KC and getting ready to sell that house and leave. And I said "Will I?" right down to the time I walked out!! There will always be "something else" but there is also the point that you will say, "Good enough."

    Honest. :)

  3. Oh yeah. Same phrase uttered here. Sometimes that light at the end of the tunnel is BRIGHT, sometimes it's the size of a pinprick. We just keep trudging along through the tunnel :)

  5. Merikay, I sure didn't want to cause you any distress with my comment. I'm the type of person who always likes to have a plan, and I find breaking things down into parts works best for me. That's why I noticed you were 1/4 of the way to your goal.

I also believe God has a plan for us, and if we let it, things usually work out for the best.

So, keep on walking and dreaming. Things will work out as they should!

  6. Great goal! I need to start again on a good walking goal. At one point I was aimed for 100 miles per month. I could do that again.

  7. Yes "you will". It just takes time and patience and a little work of some sort every week. And, you will reach a point where you say the house is "good enough" and put it up for sale. We never finished our house, but put it up for sale and hoped for the best and it sold in 6 months last year. Keep the faith!
