A Good Day

Recently I read a comment from someone who said they had not posted for a long time because they had been dealing with an illness and didn't want their blog to become a "pity party."

When I talk about how much we have to do, I don't want to sound like I'm complaining. I use my blog in part as a "public" diary.  It helps me to write about things that I am doing.

So, I really slept well last night.

Today was a good day.

We both worked hard and got much accomplished.

I am physically tired tonight, but it is  a good tired.

Once again, thank you for your supportive comments.

That's all.

Good night.

  1. Hope you have sweet dreams...of days in the RV and going wherever you want to!

P.S. I never thought you were complaining.

  2. I'm with Gay. I sure never heard any complaining. Just life. And that's what we blog about. How else can we go back and relive those moments if we don't write them down. I sure can't remember them. I just wish I had started my blog before we got on the road.

  3. I don't see it as complaining. Blogging is a a public journal. I like to look back at my posts from 2011 and see how far I have come. You will, too. No one has a perfect, 100*/., happy life and if someone thinks they do, that is their problem and not yours.

  5. The blog is yours. If we don't like what you write, we'll just skip over those parts and wait for another post. You are writing for yourself more than anyone else. Vent, SCREAM, be silly, cry, jump for joy...I know how freeing it is. I'm surprised at some of the things I write on my blog that I normally wouldn't bother anyone with, but it sure felt good to get it out. You're doing great. And yes, this is the most difficult part, then the waiting for the house to sell. After that...ahhh.

  6. There have been times when I've written entire missives, and then never hit the "publish" button. There's that line, and sometimes in my own mind I might have crossed it.
Either too much info about a sensitive subject or coming across as a negative Nora.
Sometimes it's good to write it out though.
The thing about reading a blog is, it's not like we went to the five and dime and bought the book, and it turns out to be not what was expected. There's that little "X" up in the corner there. Click it, yer done.
    Write what you want.

  7. Glad you had a good day.

I have never thought you were complaining, but even if you were, it's your blog so you can complain if you want to. (hey, isn't that a song?)

It's fun to see you getting towards the end of this journey. I remember when you first started thinking about fulltiming and weren't sure Craig could ever let go of his possessions. My how far you've come!

Keep blogging. I love reading about your progress.

Remember, you don't have to have everything done before you list the house. We didn't. Once we got a contract, we came back home and finished purging. Fortunately, our closing was delayed a few times and we had enough time (barely) to get rid of everything!

  9. We can't compare ourselves to others on what they want & don't want to put on blogs. Some people keep illnesses secret, then it slams those that care about them upside the head when they find out about it. I don't like that. I'd rather know when someone is ill. I'd like to be there for support, not pity.

Our blogs are about our daily lives. They are about what we are experiencing through life. I find RV blogs fascinating as folks transition from homes to RVing. Especially fulltime RVing. Yes, I'm a full timer, but, I do have two storage lockers! So there. Some people like to judge us on that, but hey, we live our lives according to what makes us thrive.

So if someone wants to judge, it's only their opinion, which should not change how we choose to live our lives.

Carry on! We love your blog!

  10. It is nice to read about everything all roses and wonderful, but it is real to read otherwise. I think sharing both is what makes us feel closer to others. Please keep sharing.

  11. Honestly, I love rants, don't you? Not every day is perfect, that would be too boring to endure, and also waaaay to boring to read about. Your blog is perfect. Nothing worth having is that easy, and we've all gone through the hard work you're going through. Some of us, however, had much smaller homes and therefore much less work - thank goodness!!! :)

  12. Glad you had a good day. One of the reasons I enjoy your blog is that you let it all hang out. Life sometimes comes at us hard and fast and at times it helps to read what others are going through. Makes our own trials more bearable. Sometimes I wonder about those who only have "good" days LOL!!

  13. I think you are being honest and that is more important that sugar coating what you are going through. And what you are going through is very hard work. But your rewards will be so wonderful when it is all over.
