I guess the reason I found the process of doing the paperwork for our address change so hard was that I was coming down with a bug. A flu. A minor sickness.
Fortunately it wasn't too bad. On the day we did our mailbox paper work and went to the DMV, I came home and wanted nothing more than to lie down for a nap. I am not a napper! But I slept on and off until the following morning. Craig made dinner, but I wasn't hungry. The second day I felt pretty good except for some persistent lower intestinal distress. I also had an intermittent headache. Something very unusual for me. I was able to go to and enjoy the fireworks.
By the third day I was getting dehydrated and after some really bad leg cramps, I pushed myself to drink, drink, drink. Water that is. I once again went from an afternoon nap to dawn with just a few awake times. Mostly drinking water and visiting the potty.
We had planned on doing something Sunday but I wasn't up to it.
The good thing is that it isn't a full blown "both ends flu." and aside from not wanting to be far from the bathroom, I'm doing OK. The bad thing is it is now four days into it and I don't think there is much left in my system. The good thing is I've lost four pounds. The bad is I know that is only food and water and as soon as I'm over this I will regain the weight.
Well, maybe. Two years ago it was a bad flu that kicked off my big weight loss. By the way, I've regained almost all that I lost, but maybe I can do it again with this as a starting point.
Right now, I'm taking a break from fighting with web pages that do not want to accept my new address. Craig had to make numerous calls over the weekend to get someone to "override" their systems. I have a call into our mailbox man to find out what is the problem. It shouldn't be this hard.
One step at a time!
Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better now, Merikay. That's the upside of your flu--using the weight loss as a kick start to more weight loss. Easier said than done, I know! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo hard to get the weight off that was so easy to put on. Hopefully the weight will continue to get lot and you will feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling better. I predict you'll use this weight loss as another springboard to losing that weight again!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I didn't do something right, but I never had any issues with address changes. I don't recall changing addresses on online sites, and I never had to call anyone for an override.
The other upside to being sick in an RV is that you are never far from the bathroom! Hope you are feeling back to normal real soon.
ReplyDeleteI re-started my weight loss on July 1st...join me! I have my last 15 pounds to lose...just tired of it hanging around...literally!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better and good luck with the address changes.
