Quiet time

I know my posts have been far and few between, and not very interesting.  Please keep checking on us.  This is just a quite time.

Today we are breaking out of a winter rut.  We plan on going for a hike in a nearby state park.  Something to post about!

Oh, and we will probably go out for dinner if we aren't too tired when we get back.  It is our XLVIII (48th) wedding anniversary.  Wow, life sure goes by fast.

  1. Congratulations, and Happy Anniversary to you two! That's a great thing being married that long, but we know from our own marriage of over 40 years that it's not easy...but it's so worth it! Getting out and enjoying things is very important, and we've been trying to do that very same thing. Oregon sunshine is scarce during the winter months, so we've been trying to take advantage of every good day that's come along. It's supposed to be a good weekend for weather, so rather than watch to Super Bowl, we're going to take a trip to the Coast together, and hope most other people stay home and watch the game! (We all know who's going to win, right? LOL Or, at least we know who we'd like to see win!)

  11. I know about those quiet times & I well remember those winter ruts. They occasionally come in the summer for me too. That's a lot of years to be married. A lot of years to be with the same person. All the best to you two & of course......Happy Anniversary:))

  16. Happy Anniversary - that is quite a milestone. It is fun when there is a lot happening, but being happy together during the long, quiet, times builds resiliency. All the best to you both. (and I hope you find some good eats!)
