Not Whining

Gosh, its been three whole days since I whined about anything.

 I wonder why that is.

Maybe because the sun has finally started to shine.

Maybe because we took a quick two day round trip in the Alfa. OK, the ouch wasn't a good thing, but we will deal with that next week.

Maybe because we have been talking about toads again, and actually went to test drive a 2012 Fit today, and are going to look at a new Yaris and a new Scion tomorrow. We also want to see if we can find an Accent to test drive.  It is a bit harder finding ones with the manual transmission!  We both liked the Fit, but we won't buy it without some comparisons.

Maybe because even with all of that, Craig has still found some time to work on the window trim.

Maybe because my hand is healing wonderfully, is very flexible, and only hurts a little.

Maybe because even though I have not been as strict with my diet, I have lost a little more.

Maybe because my lady customer received her Tiger today via FedEx and was so pleased she called and ordered three more pieces.  I'm always happy when a customer loves my work enough to order more.

Maybe because our Crater Lake trip is less than two months away.

Whatever the reasons, I am coming out of a very dark place.  Craig has been so very patient with me.

I hope this better mood will last.
I hate being such a B!%$CH.

May the sun shine bright in your lives as well, for whatever the reasons!

  2. It's good to hear your hand is healing along with your mood.

Is there any possibility that you and Craig will want a high-clearance vehicle in your travels? Annie still wants a Jeep or a Tracker, or whatever might get us over rough roads and tow without a dolly. The Prius mileage is unbeatable, though.

  3. I think Good Luck Duck has a good point there. Our first toad was a Hyundai Santa Fe. Excellent toad by the way & we still have it. It had high clearance but was only two wheel so we had to stay off the roads that called for 4 wheel drive. And, that's why we switched to the Jeep Wrangler. We love it but you guys might find it too rough riding & the gas mileage is poor. But, there are other Jeep models that are smooth driving, easily towable, & will take you on back roads to see scenery & places others can only read about. Your not stuck with just having to go to all the touristy places. But, if your not into that, I think any one of those cars your looking at would be good. Having had a couple Honda's years ago & knowing how reliable they are, I would probably be leaning in that direction.....

  5. Glad things are looking up. We love our Honda CR-V, but of course you can't take it on the back roads. You'll find the right one for YOU!

  6. I agree with the others about the high clearance vehicle. There are so many places we wouldn't have seen if we had an ordinary car type. Just depends on what you want to do when you're traveling.

Isn't it a great feeling when you finally come out of that funk rut you've been stuck in. I do know that sunshine really does help me to enjoy life a whole lot more.

  10. I'm sorry to hear you were feeling so bad - I don't think it came through exactly in your posts. But hurrah for the sun - isn't it always just what's needed to turn that mood around.
Yeah on the car! I imagine having a towed would make life so much easier.
Take care, and if you have to whine, well then whine away!

  11. So glad to hear you are feeling better. A little sunshine can do wonders. Maybe you should get one of those SAD machines (light machines)

Good luck finding a nice toad. A Honda CRv with an automatic transmission can be towed 4 wheels down, and a lot of people have them.

We tow a Nissan Frontier truck because we need the truck bed for space and haul the kayaks on top. Works for us, but is manual tranny.

  13. It sounds like you have lots of reasons to be in a good mood. Exciting about the additional order. Of course, when a customer loves the final product that much, it HAS to make you feel like a million bucks! :)
